According to Azeri-Press News Agency, on this date, the Earth’s rotational axis will be at its largest angle with the direction of the Sun. Consequently, the Sun will reach its minimum altitude of 26°.2 above the noon horizon. The day will be marked by the shortest daytime, lasting 9 hours 17 minutes 22 seconds, and the longest night, spanning 14 hours 42 minutes 38 seconds.

The winter season in Azerbaijan will continue for a duration of 88 days, 23 hours, 42 minutes, and 52 seconds.
