Azerbaijan Tourism Promotion Targets Russian Market with Business Breakfast in Moscow

Baku: The Representative Office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board in the Russian Federation conducted a destination presentation during a business breakfast for Russian travel industry representatives. The event, organized in collaboration with leading Russian tour operator FUNandSUN, was part of a joint promotional initiative. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening ties with the Russian travel industry and promoting Azerbaijan as an appealing travel destination. Participants explored the country's tourism potential, diverse travel experiences, and opportunities for collaboration with Russian travel agencies. Approximately 50 leading travel agencies associated with FUNandSUN attended the event. The business program featured presentations by representatives of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board in Russia, alongside partners such as Absheron Hotel Group and Sea Breeze, detailing the latest tourism offerings and opportunities for cooperation. In 2025, Azerbaijan welcomed over 600,000 visitors from the Russian Federation. In July 2026, more than 73,000 Russian visitors traveled to Azerbaijan, surpassing the number recorded in July 2025. Currently, flights between the two countries are operated by airlines including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), UTair, Aeroflot, Rossiya Airlines, Ural Airlines, S7 Airlines, and IrAero, connecting four airports in Azerbaijan with over 10 airports in the Russian Federation.
