Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Georgia, and Bulgaria Plan to Advance Green Electricity Project

Baku: The Green Electricity Transmission and Trade Project, involving Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Georgia, and Bulgaria, is set to progress to its next phase, as announced by Trkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, at the 5th Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum. According to Bayraktar, the project represents a strategic initiative aimed at fostering long-term regional energy cooperation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayraktar emphasized the significance of the project, viewing it not merely as an electricity transmission venture but as a foundational move towards sustainable regional energy collaboration. The minister expressed the intention of the involved parties to advance the project promptly, highlighting ongoing discussions concerning the signing of a critical document, including an intergovernmental agreement, within the framework of COP31.
