Baku: The volume of investments made in the Azerbaijani economy over the last 20 years has been announced, said Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov at a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty,” organized by the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship. The conference focused on “The Economic Foundations of State Sovereignty and Economic Independence.”
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Deputy Minister highlighted that from 2004 to 2024, 344.4 billion dollars have been invested in the Azerbaijani economy, with 213.2 billion dollars directed towards the non-oil sector. This significant investment reflects the country’s efforts to diversify its economy and reduce reliance on the oil industry. The figures underscore Azerbaijan’s commitment to strengthening its economic foundations and achieving greater economic independence.
