Azerbaijan Unveils Homegrown Defense Systems at DSA 2026 in Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Defense Industry, Mehman Bakhishov, engaged in discussions with Ihsan Kaya, Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Defense Industries, and Ilhami Keles, General Manager of the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation, during the 19th Defence Services Asia (DSA 2026) exhibition in Kuala Lumpur. This meeting on April 21 focused on enhancing cooperation within the defense industry, emphasizing the production of weapons, military equipment, and the integration of new technological solutions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions aimed to share best practices, apply innovative approaches, and strengthen scientific and technical cooperation between the two sides. Both parties highlighted the critical importance of improving existing cooperation mechanisms to foster a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

During the exhibition, Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah, Prince of Kedah State of Malaysia, Musa Heybet, Deputy Minister of National Defense of Trkiye, and Adly bin Zahari, Deputy Minister of Defense of Malaysia, visited the Azersilah Defense Industry Holding CJSC stand. They received briefings on Azerbaijan's locally manufactured defense products, showcasing the nation's capabilities in the defense sector.
