Azerbaijan Urges Peaceful Solution to Russia-Ukraine Tensions

Moscow: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed deep concern over the ongoing armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. The conflict, he noted, continues to have a serious negative impact on stability across the wider region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov emphasized Azerbaijan's commitment to international law and called for de-escalation and a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The discussions also touched on the situation in the Middle East, with a focus on regional and international issues.

Bayramov highlighted the importance of diplomatic engagement, dialogue, and adherence to international law as essential tools to prevent further escalation and to avert a worsening humanitarian situation. He stressed that these measures are necessary to create conditions conducive to regional and broader cooperation.
