Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Business Council to Foster Entrepreneurial Ties

Baku: This year, preparations are underway for the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Supreme Interstate Council, as announced by Uzbek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bahrom Ashrafkhanov to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a new Business Council is set to be established to enhance relations between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The ambassador highlighted that the Business Council will facilitate direct communication between Azerbaijani and Uzbek entrepreneurs and expedite the resolution of issues. This council is intended to operate on a permanent basis, involving chambers of commerce and industry as well as various business associations. The establishment of this council is seen as a crucial step towards invigorating the economies of both nations and promoting new collaborative ventures.

Bahrom Ashrafkhanov emphasized the strategic goal of forming a 10 billion USD investment package between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, while also aiming to increase trade turnover to 1 billion USD. He noted that in addition to strengthening business relations, the council will ensure that entrepreneurs from both countries are able to operate more swiftly and effectively.
