Azerbaijan Welcomes 30 More Ukrainian Children for Rehabilitation Services

Gabala: Azerbaijan has recently welcomed an additional 30 children from Ukraine to partake in rehabilitation services aimed at aiding those affected by the ongoing war. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has confirmed this initiative, highlighting its ongoing efforts to support Ukrainian children in need.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this initiative is organized by the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency, which operates under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The children will engage in a comprehensive 10-day rehabilitation program at the Gabala Child Rehabilitation Center, where they will receive medical and social-psychological support.

The program includes individual consultations and group therapies, along with yoga and dance therapy sessions conducted by professional psychologists. These activities aim to help stabilize the children’s emotional states and assist their social integration. Additionally, the children will have the opportunity to visit local recreation centers and explore historical and architectural sites in Gabala and Sheki.

This recent arrival brings the total number of Ukrainian children receiving social-psychological rehabilitation services in Azerbaijan to nearly 300, following the efforts made with the previous eight groups.
