IZMIR – An Azerbaijani amphibious aircraft has landed at Adnan Menderes Airport in Izmir, Turkey, to assist in battling severe forest fires in the region.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the deployment follows direct orders from President Ilham Aliyev to aid Turkey, highlighting strong bilateral relations. The “BE-200ÇS” type aircraft is poised to begin firefighting operations immediately to help contain the wildfires that have affected vast areas of the Turkish landscape. This collaborative effort marks a significant step in emergency response cooperation between the two nations.
