Azerbaijani and Kazakh Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Cooperation and Security

Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held an expanded meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev in Baku. During the meeting, the parties underscored the growing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the fields of economy, trade, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, technology, and digital development, and reaffirmed their strong strategic ties.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ministers emphasized the role of the Middle Corridor in stimulating trade between Europe and Asia, as well as the importance of joint projects contributing to transit infrastructure and regional connectivity. Both sides expressed concern over tensions in the Middle East and expressed confidence that the ceasefire reached between the parties would bring stability and peace to the region.

The ministers also discussed other regional and global security challenges. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed his counterpart about the ongoing normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
