Baku: Rector of the National Defense University (NDU), Major General Gunduz Abdulov, met with a delegation led by the Rector of the National Defense University of the Republic of Trkiye, Professor Erhan Afyoncu, as reported by the Ministry of Defense to APA. The Turkish delegation is visiting Azerbaijan to participate in a High-Level Dialogue Meeting between the National Defense Universities of Azerbaijan and Trkiye.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Major General G. Abdulov welcomed the guests and provided information about the educational system and processes at the university. He discussed the rules and statistics of admission to special educational institutions under NDU through the digital system and shared plans for future developments. The Rector emphasized the support from the head of state towards enhancing the military educational system and the ongoing efforts in the Azerbaijan Army to train professional personnel.

Professor E. Afyoncu highlighted that such meetings positively impact the relations between the two countries in military education and stressed the importance of mutual visits. During the meeting between the university leaders, there was a comprehensive exchange of views on expanding cooperation in military education, discussing long-term plans, and addressing other areas of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Professor Afyoncu signed the university’s Book of Remembrance, marking the significance of the visit.
