Baku: The presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine discussed energy partnership, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this known in a post on his 'X' account about his meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Zelensky thanked the Azerbaijani President for energy support at the meeting. He mentioned that he informed President Aliyev about the general situation in the energy system and the consequences of Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Zelensky expressed gratitude for the latest energy support package and noted that they exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations and the implementation of energy projects of interest to Azerbaijan.
Zelensky highlighted that the discussion also focused on the negotiation process aimed at achieving peace. He emphasized that Ukraine supports efforts aimed at achieving peace, stating, "Ukraine always constructively supports efforts aimed at achieving a dignified peace. The only reason why the war continues is that Russia does not want to stop it."
