BAKU – The Azerbaijani and Uzbek militaries successfully concluded the Maharat-2024 computer-assisted command-staff exercise, a key component of the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2024 signed by the defense ministries of both nations.
According to Trend News Agency, the closing ceremony, held recently, paid tribute to the heroes of both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, with the national anthems of the two countries played to honor their memory. Officials emphasized the drills’ primary objective: enhancing the coordination and operational efficiency of the allied forces while strengthening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
The exercise was noted for its effective use of modern computer technologies to enhance the decision-making capabilities of the participants. Evaluators praised the progress of the exercise and the professionalism displayed by the military personnel from both countries in executing the assigned tasks.
The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates to participants and the awarding of a group of servicemen who distinguished themselves during the drills. The event concluded with a cultural program organized by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, celebrating the collaborative spirit and achievements of the exercise.
