JABRAYIL – Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has reported significant employment progress in the country’s liberated territories, with nearly 2,800 residents now employed in these regions as part of the state’s comprehensive resettlement and development initiatives.
According to Trend News Agency, this employment update was provided during a recent meeting at the ministry, which included a number of employers operating in the liberated territories. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev outlined the various active employment programs being executed by the State Employment Agency. These programs are integral components of the Great Return state program, aimed at facilitating the resettlement of Azerbaijani citizens displaced by conflict.
Aliyev highlighted that employment has been secured for approximately 2,800 individuals who have relocated back to these territories. “Among them, 117 individuals have started small family farms with the assistance of our self-employment program,” he noted. This initiative is part of a broader effort to restore economic vitality and self-sufficiency in areas previously affected by territorial disputes.
The meeting also focused on the ongoing collaboration with local employers to not only provide job opportunities but also to organize vocational training courses. These educational initiatives are designed to equip residents of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur with the necessary skills to thrive in a revitalized economy.
Furthermore, the discussion at the meeting extended to the benefits available to employers in these territories, aiming to incentivize more businesses to invest and operate in these areas. The ministry also planned further cooperation with various stakeholders to organize additional employment events to bolster job creation.
