Azerbaijani and Uzbek Foreign Ministers Sign Comprehensive Program of Events


Tashkent: On the sidelines of the 2nd trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade/Economy, and Transport of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, and Uzbekistan, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan convened to discuss a wide range of topics. These included political, economic, trade, energy, transport, and communications aspects of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan alliance, alongside regional and international security matters of mutual interest.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting also focused on the prospects of cooperation within various regional and international cooperation frameworks. These include the Organization of Turkic States, UN, OIC, Non-Aligned Movement, Organization of Economic Cooperation, and CICA, as well as other multilateral formats. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his Uzbek counterpart on peace efforts in the region and the existing challenges and threats to the sustainable peacebuilding process.



The ministers further signed and approved a “Comprehensive Program of events” to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
