BAKU – The opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games took place at Astana Arena in Kazakhstan on September 8, with Azerbaijani athletes participating in the event, Trend reports. The ceremony featured 3,000 artists and marked the start of the multi-sport competition.

According to Trend News Agency, Azerbaijan is represented by 54 athletes competing in eight sports. The games, which will run until September 13, will see participation from 2,800 athletes representing 89 countries. A total of 97 sets of medals will be awarded across 21 sports categories.
