Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan Leaders Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership


BAKU – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, to discuss the strategic partnership between their countries, Trend reports, citing the administration of the President of Kazakhstan. The meeting took place in Astana during the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games.



According to Trend News Agency, tokayev expressed his gratitude for Berdimuhamedov’s attendance at the event and emphasized that the Kazakh-Turkmen relationship is progressing successfully in line with their strategic partnership. They reviewed key agreements in trade, energy, transport, and logistics and discussed the preparations for Tokayev’s upcoming visit to Turkmenistan in October.



Berdimuhamedov praised Kazakhstan’s role in organizing international events and emphasized the importance of deepening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations.
