Baku:Azerbaijani authorities have detained 11 individuals in connection with a fatal incident that took place at a restaurant in Baku's Khatai district. The incident resulted in the death of 43-year-old J. Miraghayev, who succumbed to stab wounds.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office released a joint statement revealing the arrests. The statement detailed that the incident occurred on October 23 at around 0010 at a restaurant on General Shikhlinski Street. The detained suspects are said to have been part of a criminal group operating in the area.

The joint statement indicated that the investigative team, comprising members from the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested individuals including Ramil Dadashov, Eldar Eldarov, Ahmad Alizade, Ismayil Kazimov, Hasan Zulfugarov, Farid Ayyublu, Khayyam Safikhanov, Mikayil Ismayilov, Kamran Afandiyev, Elvin Safarov, and Elmar Nuriyev. These individuals were implicated in organizing the incident and were known for living According to rules of the criminal underworld.

The authorities highlighted that these individuals were engaged in illegal activities that included forming a criminal group, conducting criminal investigations, extorting money through threats, seeking influence in criminal circles, and causing serious bodily harm with firearms and bladed weapons. The investigative measures continue to determine the full extent of the crime, the involvement of each suspect, and the criminal group's operational areas and connections.
