Chita — A team of Azerbaijani boxers has departed to participate in an international tournament for young fighters starting on August 26 in Chita, Russia.

According to Trend News Agency, the competition will span five days and will feature Azerbaijani athletes including Bilalhabashi Nazarov (48 kg), Zidan Khumbatov (54 kg), Omar Aslanli, Taghi Nasibov (both 57 kg), and Mahammadali Gasimzade (60 kg). They will compete under the guidance of head coach Elbrus Rzayev and coach Yadigar Mammadov.

The team, which has already embarked on their journey to Russia, aims to showcase their skills against international contenders. They are scheduled to return to Azerbaijan on August 31 following the conclusion of the tournament.
