Turkish Journalists Explore Restoration Efforts in Karabakh

Karabakh: Journalists from Kars, Erzurum, and Igdir have participated in a media visit to Karabakh, organized by the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 15 representatives of Turkish media visited Aghdam, Khojaly, and Khankendi. Their first stop was the Askeran fortress in Khojaly, where they were greeted by employees of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service. The journalists received information about the fortress, which was built in the 18th century by Karabakh khan Panahali Khan. The fortress, known as the eastern gate of the Karabakh khanate, was constructed for defense purposes.

The visitors then proceeded to the city of Khojaly to observe the ongoing construction and improvement efforts. They interacted with returning residents and gathered their impressions. It was noted that the resettlement process under the “Great Return” State Program has been implemented in Khojaly and seven surrounding villages.

The tour concluded with a visit to Khankendi, where the journalists explored Karabakh University. They were briefed on the university’s operations, educational process, and future plans.

The visit aims to bolster media relations between Turkey and Karabakh and ensure comprehensive coverage of the restoration and reconstruction work in the liberated areas in international media.
