Tashkent: Vusal Khalilov, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), addressed the First Silk Road Finance and Technology Forum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Speaking on a panel titled 'Regulating the Frontiers: Artificial Intelligence and Tokenization,' Khalilov discussed how rapidly advancing technologies are reshaping the financial sector, creating new opportunities while presenting regulators with new challenges.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Khalilov emphasized the need for regulation to keep pace with technological change and examined how AI and tokenization could shape the future of financial services. He also highlighted the Central Bank's efforts to advance financial technology in Azerbaijan, expand digital financial services, and introduce new technologies into the financial system. Khalilov stressed the importance of regional cooperation in building an innovative financial ecosystem and said the forum could help deepen cooperation among countries in the region.
The forum was organized by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and the Global Finance and Technology Network and brought together regulators, financial institutions, and international organizations.
