Azerbaijani Citizen Injured Amid Regional Escalation: MFA

Baku: An Azerbaijani citizen has been injured amid the military escalation in the region. Aykhan Hajizada, Head of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided this update in response to inquiries about the situation of Azerbaijani citizens, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Azerbaijan's embassies and consulates general in the region have been operating under an enhanced working regime due to the crisis. The diplomatic missions are extending necessary assistance to citizens based on requests received. The injured citizen is receiving support from Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission, and his condition is reported to be stable.

Regarding evacuation efforts, Azerbaijani citizens in Iran are leaving via land borders with Azerbaijan and Turkey, as per the advisory from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So far, 30 citizens have crossed into Azerbaijan. Due to the closure of the airspace in the region, air evacuation is not being considered at this time.

Citizens in the region are advised to monitor the security situation closely, adhere to local authorities' instructions, avoid crowded areas, and enhance personal safety measures.
