Stavern: The third annual Earth and East Festival took place at the Nerdrum Museum in Stavern, Norway, exploring cultural connections from Europe to Asia inspired by the explorer Thor Heyerdahl.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this year's festival was organized in collaboration with the Nerdrum Museum, the Vestfold Museum, Sj¸parken Park, the Thor Heyerdahl Institute, and CAN - the Norwegian-Azerbaijani cultural organization. It featured cultural elements from Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Serbia, Albania, Romania, Moldova, and Kazakhstan, including music, cuisine, clothing, craftsmanship, and literature.

During the Azerbaijani presentation, Shervin Najafpour, Chairwoman of CAN and event moderator, invited Rashad Aghazada, First Secretary at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Norway, to speak. Aghazada highlighted the friendship between Azerbaijan and Norway, reflecting on Thor Heyerdahl's interest in Azerbaijan's ancient history and his theories about the region's role in ancient civilizations.

The event featured a concert with Norwegian singer of Azerbaijani origin Marie Sahba, who performed songs from her album, with 'Azeri Baby' being a highlight. Norwegian composer of Azerbaijani descent Galib Hasanoglu also performed, receiving applause for his works.

The program concluded with a presentation of 'Jirtdan in Oslo' by Azerbaijani Honored Artist Bahram Bagirzade. Ten-year-old Ayla Aghazada read excerpts and shared her thoughts on the book. An Azerbaijani stand showcased national symbols, cultural materials, and brochures, with visitors tasting Azerbaijani wine and exploring its heritage.
