Baku: The Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, alongside Deputy Minister of Defense and Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, is visiting several units of the Air Force.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during a meeting with personnel, Colonel General Hasanov highlighted the strengthening of Azerbaijan's defense capabilities under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, who serves as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He issued directives to the Air Combat Command to ensure the timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks.

The visit included an inspection of the dormitory, dining facility, and medical unit within the military installation. Colonel General Hasanov made recommendations for enhancing servicemen's social and living conditions, ensuring compliance with food standards, and maintaining sanitary and hygienic practices.

Commemorative trees were planted as part of landscaping and greening initiatives. The Minister also met with the family members of a Martyr, addressing their concerns and directing officials to provide necessary assistance. The family expressed appreciation to President Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, and the Ministry of Defense leadership for their support and for honoring the memory of the Martyrs.
