Azerbaijan’s President Extends Congratulations to Saudi King on Foundation Day

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, reports, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes in a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In his letter, President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the strengthening ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting that the relationship serves as a strong example of friendship and brotherhood. He noted the expanding high-level political dialogue and cooperation in various sectors, including economic, energy, and humanitarian fields. The President emphasized the significance of collaboration in renewable energy and investment, particularly mentioning the recent commissioning of the 240 MW 'Khizi-Absheron' Wind Power Plant by Saudi Arabia's 'ACWA Power' company. This development underscores the close partnership between the two nations. President Aliyev expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia interstate relations and the full utilization of their cooperative potential at both bilateral and multilateral levels. He assured that joint efforts would persist in maximizing mutual benefits. Concluding his letter, President Aliyev extended his heartfelt congratulations to King Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, wishing them good health, happiness, and ongoing peace and prosperity.
