Kars: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev visited the Turkish city of Kars, marking a significant step in bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The visit, conducted at the invitation of Muhsin Sentrk, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Trkiye, included key figures such as Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Prosecutor Sanan Pashayev and the Republic's Military Prosecutor Agil Akhundov.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation began their visit by paying homage to National Leader Heydar Aliyev at a park named in his honor. They laid flowers at a monument dedicated to Aliyev, reflecting on his influential legacy. Discussions between Kamran Aliyev and Muhsin Sentrk highlighted the strategic relationship between the two nations, underscoring its positive impact on the cooperation between their law enforcement agencies.

The meeting coincided with National Salvation Day on June 15, underscoring the symbolic significance of the occasion. The leaders reiterated the foundational "One Nation, Two States" philosophy established by Heydar Aliyev, which remains a cornerstone of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations. The leaders also acknowledged the role of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan in further deepening these ties, with the Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations marking its fifth anniversary as a testament to the enduring partnership.

Kamran Aliyev expressed gratitude for the hospitality received and emphasized the visit's primary goal of strengthening institutional ties between prosecutorial authorities in border regions. He highlighted the importance of cross-border coordination in combating transnational crime and swiftly addressing legal issues impacting citizens in border areas. This collaboration, he noted, promotes the exchange of best practices and supports the ongoing development of both countries' legal systems.

Muhsin Sentrk echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the importance of continuously developing relations with Azerbaijan. Recalling his visit to Baku in April, Sentrk stressed that regular high-level meetings are crucial for advancing bilateral ties.
