Azerbaijani Director’s Film to be Screened at Venice Film Festival for Second Time

Venice: Azerbaijani director Hilal Baydarov’s film will be screened at the Venice Film Festival, the director himself informed APA. He stated that the last film of the “Sermon” trilogy, titled “Sermon to the Void,” will have its world premiere at the festival.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, “Sermon to the Void” is a joint production between Azerbaijan, Mexico, and Trkiye. The film narrates the story of Shah Ismail’s journey in search of the water of life as the end of the world approaches. This marks Baydarov’s second film to be showcased in Venice, highlighting his continued presence at the prestigious event.
