Tabriz:The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued an appeal to Azerbaijani citizens currently in Iran regarding the cancellation of scheduled passenger flights between the two countries. According to Azeri-Press news agency, Azerbaijani nationals who have purchased tickets to return to Azerbaijan but cannot do so due to the flight cancellations are encouraged to contact either the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran or the Consulate General in Tabriz. They will receive assistance to return to Azerbaijan through the land border crossing points that are operational between Azerbaijan and Iran. Furthermore, Azerbaijani citizens who bought tickets from Iranian airlines are advised to reach out to the sales offices of those airlines to seek a refund for their tickets.
