Baku:Oscar Piastri, a driver for McLaren, expressed optimism at a press conference ahead of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Piastri remarked that every driver is excited about the Baku circuit, noting its unique features and the confidence it demands. He hopes for a better performance this time around.

Piastri highlighted that while his car was fast enough in the previous race, it failed to show its full potential on several occasions. He mentioned ongoing testing of upgrades, acknowledging that some have been successful while others have not been as effective. Despite these challenges, Piastri assured that the team is progressing and has no plans to halt their development efforts.

The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from September 24 to 26.
