Zrenjanin: The U23 European Wrestling Championships in Zrenjanin, Serbia, enters its third day, with Azerbaijan's female wrestlers set to launch their medal quest. Azerbaijani wrestlers Asmar Jankurtaran (50kg), Gultekin Shirinova (55kg), and Gunay Gurbanova (59kg) will test their mettle on the mat today.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani team has already seen success in the competition. Earlier in the event, Vasif Baghirov (57kg) and Sabuhi Amiraslanov (79kg) both claimed silver medals, while Musa Aghayev (66kg), Ramik Heybatov (70kg), and Zafar Aliyev (97kg) each earned bronze medals for Azerbaijan.

The U-23 European Championships is scheduled to conclude on March 15, providing further opportunities for Azerbaijani athletes to add to their medal tally.
