Riyadh: Azerbaijani fencers won a silver medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, Apasport.az reports. Azerbaijani women’s national sabre team faced Uzbekistan in the final of the team competition.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani team lost to its opponent in the decisive match with a score of 38:39, finishing the tournament in second place. The narrow defeat highlighted the competitive spirit and skill of the Azerbaijani athletes as they contended for the top spot.
