Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has made a phone call to his Georgian counterpart Ilia Darchiashvili regarding the disaster as a result of landslide in Shovi-Racha Resort, Georgia, the ministry told APA.
The Azerbaijani FM offered deep condolences to the families, and the loved ones of those who were killed during this severe disaster, to the government and people of friendly Georgia, and wished recovery to the injured. The minister expressed hope that the missing people would be found soon.
Minister Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan always stood by Georgia, expressing the country’s readiness to provide every assistance in rescue measures and elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster.
Minister Ilia Darchiashvili expressed his gratitude for the solidarity and the support.
