Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov recently held a meeting with Ruslan Edelgeriyev, the presidential aide and Special Representative of the Russian President for Climate and Water Resources. The discussions centered on enhancing Azerbaijan-Russia collaboration in climate action, COP-related matters, and addressing regional and international concerns of mutual interest.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Bayramov shared insights into Azerbaijan's experience and achievements from the COP29 Conference with Edelgeriyev. The meeting also focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation concerning the Caspian Sea, emphasizing the significance of expediting the efforts of the joint working group on Caspian Sea issues.
Both officials underscored the necessity of safeguarding the Caspian Sea's water resources and its unique ecosystem. They advocated for the adoption of innovative technologies, particularly in agriculture, and the implementation of joint projects to address these challenges effectively.
