Bucharest: Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers won five medals at the Ion Cornianu and Ladislau Simon tournament held in the Romanian capital city of Bucharest.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Farid Sadikhli, Farid Khalilov, Gurban Gurbanov, and Mazaim Mardanov secured gold in their respective weight categories, while Ilkin Gurbanov added a bronze to the country's tally.

Azerbaijan achieved a significant accomplishment by ranking 2nd in the team standings at the tournament.
