Baku: Azerbaijan's national judo team delivered an outstanding performance at the Skopje Junior European Cup 2026, held in Skopje, North Macedonia, winning a total of seven medals. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, on the final day of the competition, Khadija Gadashova and Davud Namazli claimed gold medals in the -57 kg and -100 kg weight categories, respectively. Meanwhile, Nargiz Ahmadova and Gulgaz Musayeva (both -48 kg), Ayten Verdiyeva (-57 kg), and Janpolad Aliyev (-100 kg) won bronze medals. Earlier, Nilgun Rzayeva (-63 kg) added another bronze medal to Azerbaijan's tally. With two gold and five bronze medals, Azerbaijan finished third overall among 33 countries.
