PARIS: Azerbaijani gymnasts have begun their performance in the group all-around qualification at the Paris Olympics, Trend reports.

A total of 14 groups are competing in the qualification for a place in the all-around final.

The Azerbaijani team, consisting of Zeynab Hummatova, Yelizaveta Luzan, Gullu Aghalarzade, Darya Sorokina and Laman Alimuradova performed second, following the Chinese gymnasts.

The group executed a routine with five hoops, earning a score of 33.850 points.

The gymnasts will next perform with a composition featuring three ribbons and two balls.

To note, the top 10 teams will advance to the all-around final.
