Baku: Azerbaijani investments in Israel have exceeded USD 542 million in the first half of this year, largely attributed to the Tamar gas project.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), announced these figures during a press conference at the CBA.

Nasirov highlighted that the primary driver of this substantial investment is Azerbaijan’s involvement in Israel’s Tamar gas project, located in the Mediterranean Sea. The investment in this project constitutes the majority of the total amount invested.

This significant investment has positioned Israel as the leading country in terms of Azerbaijani investments for the first half of the year.
