Baku: Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Scholarship Program for the 2025-2026 academic year, 10 Azerbaijani students have gained the right to study in Kazakhstan, as reported by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education to APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the program is carried out under the ‘Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education between the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan,’ dated April 3, 2017. The agreement enables Azerbaijani students to pursue higher education in Kazakhstan at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.

The final decision by the Kazakh authorities placed the selected students in prestigious institutions across Kazakhstan. Specifically, six students will attend Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which ranks 166th in the ‘QS 2026 World University Rankings.’ Two students will study at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, while one student each will attend Astana International University and the Academy of Physical Education and Mass Sports.

The distribution of students is as follows: two have been admitted to bachelor’s programs, seven to master’s programs, and one to a doctoral program. Their studies will span disciplines such as economics and management, as well as humanitarian, social, technical, and technological specialties.

It is noteworthy that the announcement of the scholarship program was made public on March 18 of this year.
