Azerbaijani Oil Price Experiences Significant Decline in Global Markets

Baku: The price of Azerbaijani oil, branded as Azeri Light (CIF), has witnessed a significant drop in the global markets. The recent downturn has seen the price per barrel fall by $7.96, which constitutes a 9.94% decrease, settling at $72.12 per barrel.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the previous price of Azerbaijani oil was $80.08 per barrel. This price adjustment marks a notable shift in the market dynamics for Azeri Light oil, which has been closely monitored by industry stakeholders. The decrease comes in the context of Azerbaijan’s state budget calculations for this year, where the average price for one barrel of Azeri Light oil was estimated at $70.

The current situation reflects the volatile nature of global oil prices and underscores the importance of strategic planning for oil-exporting nations like Azerbaijan. The fluctuations in the market continue to impact economic projections and fiscal policies as the country navigates these changes.
