Baku: At today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis, the Azerbaijani Parliament discussed the draft law ‘On the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024’. After a thorough discussion, the draft law was put to a vote and successfully adopted in its first reading.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft outlines that the state budget revenues for 2024 are projected to be 37,161.8 million manat, marking a 2.1 percent increase from the previously approved forecast. In contrast, the state budget expenditures are estimated at 37,713.6 million manat, showing a 5.1 percent decrease from the earlier approved forecast. Consequently, the state budget deficit is expected to be 551.8 million manat, which is 6.1 times lower than the forecast approved previously.
