Baku: The initial oil extraction from the Karabakh field is set to commence in 2029, marking a significant development in the region’s energy landscape. The infrastructure at the Karabakh field will be integrated with the existing facilities in the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshl (ACG) block, as announced by BP’s Executive Vice President for Production and Operations, Gordon Birrell.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this integration is aimed at expediting the development of the Karabakh field. BP’s plan involves the installation of a small platform on the field, which will be linked to the current infrastructure of ACG. This strategic move is intended to facilitate a seamless process for the commencement of oil production from the Karabakh field by the projected timeline.
