Baku: At today's session of the Milli Majlis, the draft law "On the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" was put up for discussion, APA reports. Under the draft law, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues for 2025 exceeded the approved forecast by 2.2%, reaching 39.1846 billion manats. State budget expenditures amounted to 38.6046 billion manats, which is 6.8% below the approved forecast. As a result, the 2025 state budget was executed with a 580 million manat surplus. The draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the session saw members of the Milli Majlis deliberate on the unexpected financial outcomes and the implications of the surplus for the country's economic planning. The discussions highlighted how the surplus may be utilized for public services and infrastructure development. The approval in the third reading signifies a strong consensus among parliamentary members on the fiscal strategy for 2025.
