Imishli: Azerbaijani police have arrested 14 individuals on charges of hooliganism following a traffic accident in the Imishli district. A decision concerning the group was made after an incident on January 18, when a severe road accident involving a State Traffic Police vehicle resulted in fatalities and injuries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the investigation authorities have presented their findings to the Imishli District Court regarding the detained individuals. The court has reviewed the submission and decided to remand the 14 individuals in custody for a period of three months. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 PM on Abbasgulu Shadlinsky Street when a vehicle obstructed the path of a police car en route to service, leading to the police vehicle striking children on the roadside.

The tragic accident claimed the lives of two schoolchildren and left one schoolchild and the driver of the police vehicle injured. The authorities have taken swift action in response to the incident, resulting in the detention of those involved in hooliganism during the aftermath of the accident.
