Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed strong support for former U.S. President Donald Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. "Together with an Armenian colleague, we nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. He really deserves it," Aliyev stated during an interview with Al-Arabiya TV channel, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev praised Trump for his efforts in various global regions, including Africa, Asia, and the South Caucasus, describing these efforts as miraculous. Aliyev highlighted Trump's unique character and approach to leadership, noting his desire for peace and his deviation from the traditional image of a Western leader. Aliyev also lauded Trump's generosity and credited him with a positive influence, despite facing significant opposition and criticism from various media outlets and political figures. Aliyev further accused elements within the U.S. political system of committing electoral fraud to prevent Trump's re-election and criticized the American electoral process.
