Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter to Denis Sassou-Nguesso, President of the Republic of the Congo, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of the Congo, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev extended his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to President Sassou-Nguesso and the people of the Congo. He expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the Congo, noting that the two visits by President Sassou-Nguesso to Azerbaijan last year significantly contributed to the expansion of cooperation.

President Aliyev highlighted the friendly relations established between the two nations, which have created opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other areas. He expressed confidence in the continuation of joint efforts to strengthen Azerbaijan-Congo relations and deepen cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral levels.

In closing, President Aliyev wished President Sassou-Nguesso robust health, happiness, and success in his work, and conveyed his hopes for lasting peace and prosperity for the people of the Congo.
