Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the country’s significant investment in the East-West transport corridor during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Czechia business forum. President Aliyev highlighted the increased necessity of this corridor due to disruptions in traditional supply chains, logistics, and transit problems.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan is playing a crucial role in providing a safe and reliable transit route from East to West and vice versa. He also mentioned that the country is facilitating transit from North to South and South to North, underscoring the strategic importance of Azerbaijan’s geographical position in the global transport network.
