Azerbaijani President Highlights New Horizons for Foreign Policy Through Regional Peace Agenda

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that the peace agenda promoted in the region is opening new horizons for Azerbaijan's foreign policy and is a key factor in enhancing its global dimension. He made these remarks during his address to participants at the 13th Meeting of the CICA Think Tank Forum, themed 'Resonance of Development and Security: Regional Cooperation and Governance in the Institutional Transformation of CICA.'

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev stated that the recent initialing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia presents favorable opportunities not only for the region but also beyond. He highlighted Azerbaijan's strategic position along the East-West and North-South corridors, emphasizing that the country is becoming a significant transport and logistics hub in Eurasia.

President Aliyev also expressed confidence in the Zangezur Corridor, a branch of the Middle Corridor, as a future vital transport link connecting continents. He underscored that these transport routes are expected to enhance cooperation among CICA member states.
