OUAGADOUGOU — President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has issued an order for the conscription of citizens into active military service and the transfer of servicemen to reserve units, scheduled to take place from October 1 to 30, 2024.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the order mandates the conscription of citizens born in 2006 who have reached the age of 18 by the conscription date, as well as those born between 1989 and 2005 who are under the age of 35 and do not possess deferral rights. These individuals are required to join active military service in the republic’s armed forces and other military formations during the specified period.
