Azerbaijani Prime Minister Highlights Strategic Geopolitical Advantages of the Turkic World

Baku: "The geostrategic position of the Turkic world creates great advantages for our countries. Our region, which connects Europe and Asia, is located at the intersection of the East-West and North-South, playing a critical role in global transport and logistics," stated Ali Asadov, Azerbaijani Prime Minister, during the meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku on April 2.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of the Middle Corridor, noting its ongoing development. He highlighted that joint efforts have led to a consistent increase in transit traffic along this corridor. In 2025, the volume of transit traffic is projected to rise by approximately 11 percent, reaching an estimated 5 million tons.
