Munich: An Azerbaijani student has been found dead in Germany, APA reports. The student, identified as Kanan Jamal Safarov, was a first-year student residing in Munich. His body was discovered in his home on July 5 after he failed to appear for work.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijani citizen Mirnatiq Mirsultanov, who also lives in Germany, reported that Safarov had moved to the country six months prior. He was both studying and working as a dental assistant during this time. Concern arose when Safarov did not show up for his job, prompting someone to check on him at his residence.

When there was no response to knocking at the door, entry was gained through a window, revealing Safarov’s body lying on the floor. There were no indications of violence present on the body.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of death, considering possibilities such as food poisoning. Law enforcement has been notified, and steps are being taken to repatriate Safarov’s body back to Azerbaijan.
